8. Tip from Dave Price July 2005 ..... Have you ever considered having your own domain name? Advantages - you get email addresses based on your domain name, if you register 'www.great-site.co.uk' then you could be anything@great-site.co.uk you can also buy some web space and host your own web site. So if you want on line photo albums why be www.pbase.com/somebodyother when you could be www.greatsite.co.uk a much more memorable name. As long as you pay the renewal fee you get to keep the domain name for as long as you like and if you want to you can move the domain to another provider. So if you swap ISP you dont need to swap your email addy. Think about it, the opportunity to keep the same email addy for life! Pick the right domain host and its quick, simple and suprisingly cheap. 250Mb of web space a domain name and almost as many email addresses as you like could be had for around £33. For that you get the domain for 2 years and the web space for 1 year. Interested try www.1and1.co.uk. They got a good write up in the Sunday Times and advertise a lot in the computer press. Oh and yes, I do use them myself. By the way tamworthweather would like to see pictures from Kingsbury if anyone wants to post to the forum.
